Middle School Attire

  • All clothing should be in good repair without intentional holes, fraying, etc.
  • Clothing should fit comfortably and should be neither excessively tight nor over-sized.
  • Undergarments should not be visible (this does not include socks).
  • We allow students to wear only white, black, gold, or maroon as the colors of T- Shirts that they wear as undershirts and are visible at the neckline.
  • We require that a student's stomach and lower back must be covered when standing, sitting, reaching, and/or bending.


  • We allow students to wear maroon or white polo-style shirts.
  • Navy sweater, sweatshirt, zip up hooded sweatshirts/ jackets, or light-weight jackets (plain with no other colors or logos other than the school logo).
  • We allow students to wear either long or short-sleeved tops (no sleeveless tops).
  • Long sleeved tops should be no longer than wrist.
  • Tops do not need to be tucked as long as the rules below are followed as well.
    • Shirttails should be no longer than the bottom of the side slit of pants pocket, without pants sagging.
    • Shirttails need to be long enough so that if arms are raised   above head, then no back or stomach shows.
    • No under shirt may hang below the top shirt (no layered look).
  • We allow students to wear heavy winter coats that are non-uniform outside,however they must be hung in classrooms during class periods.


Girls and Boys General Bottom Wear:

 Pants/Jeans:

  • Must be plain/solid, tan, or navy blue
  • Dockers-style or jeans pants/shorts
  • Must fit correctly at the waist (no over-sized)
    • We do not allow sagging bottoms and/or visible undergarments.
  • No “baggies”, “wide-leg” or skintight
  • Must have hemmed bottoms, no cut-off or torn hems.
  • Jeans are allowed if they are not faded, do not have stripes, holes, excessive decorations, and/or "bling."
  • No pockets other than front and back pockets at waist
  • No logos, designs, etc.

Girls Additional Bottom Wear:

  • We allow students to wear capris or skirts longer than fingertips.


 

School Logo Wear:

  • We allow students to wear all school logo wear sold at the school store or issued by teams and clubs on Fridays.

Accessories:

  • Students must wear shoes that are closed toed and heeled with no more than 1-inch sole or heel; or athletic shoes, and no heelies.
  • Belts must be a single color and the end of the belt may not hang below the belt line; the buckle must be less than 2 inches with no logos other than the student’s personal initials.
  • If a student wishes to wear a necklace, then the student must wear it under the shirt(s) (no heavy chains and medallions).
  • We permit ear piercings (no tongue studs, nose rings/studs, or other facial or visible body piercing). Any jewelry that we deem a safety issue must be removed.
  • Bracelets and rings should be appropriate for school wear and not distracting.

Inappropriate:

Inappropriate is defined as anything that is:

  • Gang related
  • Portrays drugs, paraphernalia, tobacco, alcohol
  • Insinuates anything sexually inappropriate for the school campus
  • Intimidating
  • Racist or has gender slurs

If we identify any item of clothing or accessory as inappropriate according to the above definition, and/or our teacher (s) finds it disruptive in the classroom, we may ask the student to remove or change it.
